Celebrating Pride Through Education
Celebrating Pride Through Education at the Tyler Public Library
This Pride Month, the heart of East Texas is blooming with visibility, community, and education. We're proud to share a vibrant LGBTQ+ educational display, created in partnership with PFLAG Tyler/East Texas, the Tyler Public Library, and fellow local LGBTQ+ organizations.
This collaborative display is more than just a visual celebration—it’s a powerful statement of presence and purpose. Designed to uplift, inform, and inspire, the display highlights key moments in LGBTQ+ history, spotlights local queer leaders and trailblazers, and provides vital resources for youth, families, and allies.
From books and zines to artwork and affirming messages, every piece of the exhibit is a reminder: our stories matter. Our identities are valid. And in East Texas, we are here—and we are not alone.
We invite everyone in the community to stop by the Tyler Public Library throughout the month of June to explore the display, pick up resources, and deepen your understanding of the diverse and resilient LGBTQ+ community that calls East Texas home.
Pride is not just a party—it’s a promise to keep showing up, educating, advocating, and creating safer spaces for all. Thank you to the library for welcoming this celebration of learning and liberation, and thank you to every person who helped bring this display to life.
🌈 Happy Pride from all of us at PFLAG Tyler/East Texas!
